Most insurance policies require that their insured cooperate with the insurance
company's investigation of an accident. This means that your insurance
company may require you to give statements or provide
information as a condition of processing your claim. Be advised however
that although you may be required to cooperate or give a statement, you
may still consult a personal injury attorney before doing so. In fact,
most policies specifically provide that you may have an attorney or other
representative present with you when you give a statement.
